We generally recommend starting guitar lessons around 6–7 years of age, depending on the child's physical strength and hand size. However, we warmly welcome students of all ages — we have successfully taught learners from 7 to 67 years old. It is never too late to start learning music!

JBX Music Academy currently teaches Guitar (acoustic & electric), Keyboard / Piano, and Drums & Percussion (including bongos). We are affiliated with Rockschool, which also covers Vocals — please contact us for vocal class availability.

Standard sessions are 60 minutes long. We also offer intensive 90-minute sessions for advanced students or those preparing for Rockschool grade examinations. The frequency is typically once or twice per week depending on the student's goals.

For your trial class, we provide all instruments — so you can try before you commit. For regular classes, we recommend purchasing your own instrument so you can practice at home, which is crucial for progress. Our faculty can guide you on the right instrument and budget.

Absolutely. We specialize in teaching complete beginners and have a structured curriculum that takes you from zero — your very first chord or note — all the way to advanced performance levels and internationally recognized Rockschool grade examinations.

Our main campus is at Motilal Nagar, Phase II, Goregaon West, Mumbai, Maharashtra. We have a well-equipped studio classroom for in-person lessons.

Yes, home tuition is available subject to faculty availability and your location. We currently serve Goregaon West and nearby areas in Mumbai. Please contact us with your address for availability and pricing.

Yes! We offer live, interactive online music classes via video call. Online students follow the same curriculum as in-person students. Sessions are recorded so you can review them later. This option is available for Guitar, Keyboard and Drums.

Yes, weekend slots are available. We try to accommodate students' school and work schedules. Classes run Monday to Saturday 10 AM – 8 PM and Sundays by appointment. Contact us to check current slot availability.

Rockschool (founded 1991) is an internationally recognized music examination board that introduced the world's first graded exams for rock instruments. JBX Music is a Rockschool-affiliated academy, meaning our students can sit for official grade exams (Grades 1–8 + Diplomas) that are globally accepted — useful for university applications, professional music careers and personal achievement.

With consistent practice (30–60 mins daily), most students can play simple songs within 1–3 months. Reaching an intermediate level typically takes 6–12 months. Progress varies by student — age, prior musical experience, and practice consistency all play a role.

Yes. Our founder actively documents student progress through audio and video recordings, sharing performances on digital platforms to showcase growth. We also encourage group performances at cultural events like Navratri celebrations, and some of our top students have performed with professional bands across India.

JBX Music Band performs at weddings, sangeet ceremonies, corporate events, birthday parties, hotels, clubs, festivals and fun fairs across Mumbai. We offer both full-band sets and intimate acoustic sets depending on your event requirements.

Our band covers a wide range including Bollywood (classic & contemporary), retro rock, reggae, indie pop, Western pop, semi-classical, jazz and modern remixes. We customize the setlist based on your preferences and event theme.
