BACKGROUND
The history of performing arts can be traced back to 534 B.C., when Thespis won the first public contest for tragic poets in Greece, and the term thespian was derived from his name.

Over the years performing arts have taken a number of forms i.e., dance, music, opera, theatre, magic, spoken word, circus arts, recitation and musical theatre to name a few.

Music is an art form whose medium is a combination of sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch, rhythm, articulation, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of tone, colour and texture.

In order to develop a high understanding and fine tune ones skills, proper guidance and training is of utmost importance.

JBX MUSIC ACADEMY
JBX Music Academy is an Organization that specializes in training students in a number of streams of music, namely:

1. Drums
2. Keyboard
3. Guitar
4. Vocal

Though in its youth, being in existence for 2 years, the organization has aquired the specialized service of dedicated staff who are themselves performing artists and have numerous years of experience playing music professionally.

OBJECTIVES AND MEANS
To provide high quality music education, designed to give the children a head start through the amazing world of sound through:
1) Effective student-teacher communication,
2) Simplified music understanding
3) International standard of teaching, and
4) Personal supervision and attention.

JBX is affiliated with the Internationally acclaimed ROCKSCHOOL of music, and students are trained for the examinations held periodically at this organization. Qualifications cover principal rock instruments such as keyboard, guitar, drums, percussion, voice training (singing) and other instruments. At an advanced level students who wish to pursue music as a career can also develop and hone their skills in other areas of study including music composition, music technology, performance skills, digital synthesis and music business skills.

The founders of this institution, Norton York and his playing partner Simon Pitt founded Rockschool in 1991, when they realised that rock musicians were not being offered the same access to qualifications and training as classical musicians.

In 1993 Rockschool launched the very first integrated rock music graded music exams for electric guitar, bass and drums. Since then the company and the syllabuses have grown and developed to cover piano, vocals, higher level diplomas, vocational qualifications and band based keyboards.

Presently situated Motilal Nagar Phase II, in Goregoan West, JBX music academy has more that 100 students who have registered with the institution and have availed the services and expert guidance of the faculty members.

Our students are also selected for festivals when musicians are required to play for functions such as Navratri celebrations, etc. One of our students has been selected and will play drums with a band in Surat during this years Navratri 9-day celebrations.

All this has come about due to the hi-Tech expertise of our founder, who painstakingly video shoots our students and uploads the audio-visual on youtube and other social networking sites to showcase the talents acquired by our students.

In addition students are encouraged and guided in playing along with other students, to enable them to synchronize with other students and help to build up on their confidence and in the process also enhance their skills.

There is a hidden star in every child and JBX Music Academy has provided children with a platform to explore their talents in the various streams of music.

We do not produce Rock Stars as this can only be acquired by the perseverance and hard work of the students themselves, but JBX Music Academy provides the students with the help and guidance which is very necessary to reach a standard of quality in their music through the expertise of our talented staff.

The Faculty

KEYBOARDS & GUITAR
Mr. Roshan is a self-taught musician who has been playing music for more that 10 years. He has a natural ear for music and also play guitar and drums. Roshan has been teaching music for the last 5 years and is the Founder and Director of JBX Music Academy

DRUMS
Ian Enthiado discovered his gift of rhythm at the tender age of 8 year and was the youngest drummer boy of Electra Junction and Night Riders in Abu Dhabi. After moving to Mumbai, India he carved a niche in both the live as well as studio scene, playing all genres of music. He has played with a number of bands over the years and presently plays with as many as 4 different bands, playing different genres of music.Ian also teaches Drums and Bongos at EUROSCHOOL.
